Public speaking apps you can pay for once
Few speech apps sell a one-time option, and the ones that do are mostly for specific uses. EchoPitch sells ten scored sessions as a one-time trial with no auto-renewal, plus a one-off plan of 20 sessions for focused preparation. Orai sells a $149 lifetime licence with free updates. Big Interview's Interview Pro is $299 once with lifetime access, and it covers interviews only. Speeko offers lifetime plans. A monthly subscription only makes sense if you will practise every week for a long stretch. For one event, a one-time price is usually the cheaper choice.
A public speaking app with a one-time payment is one you buy once rather than subscribing each month or year. Few speech apps sell this kind of option. This page compares EchoPitch, Orai Lifetime, Big Interview's Interview Pro and Speeko lifetime. EchoPitch sells a one-time trial of 10 scored sessions of up to 3 minutes each, with no automatic renewal, plus a one-off plan of 20 sessions of up to 15 minutes. Each recorded take is scored on delivery signals, with face and voice analysis and a written report. Orai Lifetime is a $149 one-time payment with no subscription. Big Interview's Interview Pro is $299 once with lifetime access, but it covers interviews only. Speeko offers a lifetime plan, but its current price should be checked on the vendor's site before you buy. A one-time price suits one event, while a subscription suits someone who practises most days for months.

When a subscription is the better buy
- You practise most days for months, and a daily habit is the goal.
- You want a lower entry cost and will cancel once the job or event is done.
- You need features only the subscription includes. EchoPitch Monthly is $37 a month for 20 sessions.
Questions people ask
Is a one-time payment cheaper than a subscription?
It depends on how long you use the app. Orai's $149 lifetime licence is more than a year of its $12 monthly plan ($144), and it equals about three years of the $49.99 annual plan. So it only saves money if you would use Orai for around three years. For one event, a one-time option is usually cheaper than either.
Does EchoPitch renew automatically?
No. The trial is a single payment for 10 sessions. We never charge you automatically after it; you choose whether to upgrade to a monthly plan.
What if I want to keep practising after the sessions run out?
Your recordings and reports stay in your account, so you can still compare past attempts. New sessions need a paid plan. The one-off plan covers focused preparation, and the monthly plan covers ongoing practice.
