Final Round AI Review 2026
What each Final Round AI plan costs, what the live Interview Copilot does, the rules risk of using it in a real interview, and who should choose a practice tool instead. This review is written by a competitor, EchoPitch, which makes a practice-only tool.
Is Final Round AI worth it?
Final Round AI is worth paying for only if you want its practice features enough to justify the price, and you should be careful with its main feature. The free plan organises your preparation but excludes live sessions, and there is no free trial. Paid plans cost $150 a month, $83.33 a month billed quarterly, $25 a month billed annually ($300 up front) or $41.67 a month billed annually for Premium MAX. The headline product is the Interview Copilot, which listens to a real interview and shows suggested answers in a window hidden from screen sharing. Using that during a real interview may breach an employer's or recruiter's rules, and the risk is yours. The safer value is in its job-specific practice interviews, automatic debriefs and help with coding rounds. If you only want to rehearse, a practice tool that you use before the interview costs less and carries no rules risk.

Prices checked 11 October 2026 on finalroundai.com/subscription-simple as a signed-out visitor, in US dollars. Quarterly, Yearly and Premium MAX are shown as monthly equivalents but billed up front for the whole period; the quarterly and Premium MAX totals are our arithmetic. The homepage advertises Pro from "$25+/mo", which is the annual-billed price. Signed-in visitors may be offered a discount.
The live copilot and employers' rules
Final Round AI says its Interview Copilot listens to your live interview on Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, HackerRank, CoderPad or a phone screen and privately streams a suggested answer seconds after each question. Its Stealth Mode, on by default, is designed to keep the window out of screen shares and recordings, and no bot joins the call. Screen help reads coding problems on your screen and writes solutions.
Using it during a real interview may breach the employer's rules. Many hiring processes expect answers to be your own, and some ask candidates to confirm they are not using AI assistance. An offer obtained that way can be withdrawn, and you may then have to do the job without the help. Final Round AI does not decide what any employer allows; you would carry the consequences.
A practice tool works differently. You use it before the interview, the improvement stays with you, and there is nothing to disclose. Final Round AI's own practice interviews fall into that category too, which is the use we would recommend if you buy it.
What Final Round AI does well
- Practice is tied to the job. Practice interviews launch from a Goal holding your role, company, resume and materials, across eight scenarios: general, coding, system design, behavioural, product case, data and ML, salary negotiation and recruiter screen.
- Automatic debriefs. When a session ends it writes a plain-language summary of what worked and what to fix, and a re-drill mode replays the weak spots.
- Strong for technical rounds. Screen help reads a coding problem, diagram or document on screen and produces a written solution, which few practice tools attempt.
- Broad format coverage: behavioural, coding, system design, case, phone screens and HireVue-style one-way video interviews.
- A free plan with no time limit for organising your preparation, and a desktop app for macOS 14.4+ and Windows.
Where it falls short
- The main product is designed to be used during real interviews. That may breach an employer's rules, and the consequences fall on you, not on Final Round AI. See the section below.
- Expensive month to month. The Monthly plan is $150. The $25 headline price needs a full year paid up front ($300).
- No free trial. Final Round AI's own pricing page states that live sessions need an active paid subscription, and the free plan does not include them.
- Limited refunds. A 72-hour money-back guarantee applies only to a first purchase of a Quarterly or Yearly plan, and usage must be "reasonable and limited". Monthly plans, renewals and upgrades are not refundable.
- Prices vary for signed-in visitors. The subscription page invites you to sign in to reveal a discount, so the figure you see may differ from the one in this table.
- Delivery coaching is not the focus. The example debrief on Final Round AI's homepage rates clarity, structure and depth; it is not built to tell you how confident or composed you looked.
Who should pay for Final Round AI
Candidates preparing for coding and system-design rounds
Screen help and written solutions in practice sessions are where Final Round AI differs most from delivery coaches, and its eight practice scenarios include coding, system design and data and ML.
Job seekers in a long search who will use the practice features
Tying every practice run to a Goal with your resume and the job description, then re-drilling the weak spots from each debrief, is a sound loop. On the Yearly plan it works out at $25 a month.
Anyone whose interviewer has explicitly allowed AI assistance
If a process permits live help, the copilot does what it says. Get that permission in writing first.
Who should choose something else
You want help during real interviews without permission
The risk is not technical but contractual: if the employer's rules prohibit live assistance, a hidden window does not change that. Practise instead.
You have one interview and do not want a subscription
Month to month is $150, and the cheaper rates need a quarter or a year up front. A fixed-price practice pack is simpler for a single event.
Your problem is how you come across
If you know your answers but rush, fill silences or look tense, you need delivery scoring rather than answer generation.
Final Round AI alternatives for practice
All used before the interview. Including our own product, with its limits stated.
EchoPitch (us)
Practice only. Record an answer and get scored on pace, filler words, pauses, vocal variety and facial expression signals, with clarity feedback from the transcript. A one-off five-session trial, no subscription. No live help and no coding support, so it is not a like-for-like replacement for technical rounds.
Yoodli
AI roleplay interviews that ask follow-up questions, with delivery analytics afterwards. Free Starter with five lifetime roleplays; Pro at $8 a month billed annually or $11 month to month. Used before the interview, not during it.
Big Interview
A structured interview course with an Answer Builder, a simulator drawing on over 10,000 questions and VideoAI delivery feedback. $39 for 30 days, $99 for three months or $299 for life, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Final Round AI review FAQ
Is Final Round AI worth paying for?
It depends on how you intend to use it. As a practice tool, its job-specific mock interviews, automatic debriefs and screen help for coding rounds are useful, but $150 month to month or $300 for a year is a lot for practice alone. Its main feature, the live Interview Copilot, suggests answers during real interviews, which may breach an employer's or recruiter's rules. If you only want to rehearse, a practice-only tool usually costs less and carries no such risk.
How much does Final Round AI cost in 2026?
On 11 October 2026, Final Round AI's subscription page showed a Free plan at $0, Monthly at $150 a month, Quarterly at $83.33 a month billed quarterly, Yearly at $25 a month billed annually, and Premium MAX at $41.67 a month billed annually. The yearly plans are paid up front, so Yearly is $300 and Premium MAX about $500. Signed-in visitors may be shown a discount, so check the price at checkout.
Is using Final Round AI in a real interview cheating?
Final Round AI describes the Interview Copilot as an assistant that listens to a live interview and shows suggested answers in a window hidden from screen sharing. Whether that is allowed is decided by the employer, not the vendor. Many hiring processes expect your answers to be your own, and some ask candidates to confirm they are not using AI assistance. Using it without permission may breach those rules and could cost you the offer. Practising beforehand carries no such risk.
Does Final Round AI have a free trial?
No. Final Round AI's pricing page states there is no free trial and that live Interview Copilot sessions need an active paid subscription. The free plan lets you set up Goals with your resume and materials, parse job descriptions, get a basic AI interview report and use the desktop app. The 72-hour money-back guarantee on a first Quarterly or Yearly purchase is the closest thing to a trial, and it depends on limited usage.
What is the difference between Final Round AI and a practice tool?
A practice tool such as EchoPitch, Yoodli or Big Interview is used before the interview: you rehearse, get feedback, and walk in better prepared. Final Round AI's copilot is used during the interview, generating answers you read while the interviewer waits. Final Round AI also includes practice interviews, so it covers both, but the practice side is the part that is safe under any employer's rules and the part you can carry into the room.
How does Final Round AI compare to EchoPitch?
They solve different problems. Final Round AI's main feature gives you answers during a live interview, with job-specific practice and coding help alongside. EchoPitch is a practice-only coach: you record answers beforehand and it scores pace, filler words, pauses, vocal variety and facial expression signals, with clarity feedback from the transcript. EchoPitch has no live mode, no coding help and no question bank of Final Round's size; it does not create a rules risk.
